I need to figure out whether to upgrade to QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign...

I'd really like to stick to the industry standard to keep things easier for running print ads, unfortunately I have no idea which one that is. Anyone know anything about this subject?

By the way, how are your kitties doing? Is Morgan still being delightfully devilish? How was the Bahamas? Did Christian drag you to every store in the area?

QuarkXPress mostly use by newspaper company, while Adobe InDesign is mostly use by magazine. I Prefer to Adobe InDesign, since its very user friendly and some of the keyboard shortcut is similar to other adobe software such as Illustrator or Photoshop. Since I've formerly use Adobe PageMaker, I just need a little adjustment to use the Adobe InDesign.

Nope, that helps a lot, thanks! We have another user here that's been using PageMaker for the last century or so. Maybe InDesign will be a more familiar interface for her to change to.

The Bahamas were fantastic, and we did surprisingly little shopping. The kitties are good :) They're going to be much happier when we finally move this year (after the initial shock of adjusting to a new home).

Eh, I'm the same pretty much. It's raining right now so Zena is going psycho meaning we're all being driven insane. She's nuts, I tell you. Absolutely nuts. I mean, she's annoying but still adorable on a day-to-day basis, but rain erases the cute and puts annoying in caps lock. Bloody Midwest weather. Actually, now that I just turned around to check up on her, she's curled herself into a ball in the corner of the couch. She's still insane.

Wait wait wait wait waaaaaaaait. Did you just say Morgan--Satan incarnated, as you so lovingly like to put it--is being good? As in, she's not destroying the house, trash can diving for hot dogs, staring at the lightbulb in hopes of conspiring with Zena, clawing your legs or attempting to get her cat snaps out of the cupboard? Now, that's a new development. When did that happen?

Are you moving upstate, downstate or staying in the same neighborhood?

I think she'll be very pleased if u do that, since there's plenty feature InDesign provide. such as lots of undo (not like pagemaker that can undo only once), recovery feature (like MS Word feature), smaller file size, etc.

Hahaha, yeah I think that would annoy me too. I was shocked, too. Morgan's been very well behaved lately. She eventually figured out that the trash was why I was angry as soon as I got home from work... so she'd knock it over anyway and hide when I came through the door. She hasn't touched it in a while.

We're planning to stay in the same area, since that's where everyone we know is. Taxes are also incredibly high in other areas so I'd like to avoid that.

Astounding. Are you sure Morgan didn't switch places with a look-alike cat à la Parent Trap? I'm having a very hard time believing she's behaving like a regular, obedient house cat.

Yes, it is very annoying. We went to the vet and did a triple whammy--3 vaccines, blood drawn for a yearly heartworm test AND thunderstorm medication. She was prescribed a very low dose tranquilizer for thunderstorms. I don't think we've ever had a cheap vet bill with Zena.

I know! I don't understand what's going on with her. I just taught her to stand on my shoulder like a parrot. It's really fun to do. It's funny because she's actually a pretty big cat.

So how does that medicine work? Do you give it to her whenever there's a storm? Our cats don't like storms either, they just hide. One time they freaked a little because we had golf-ball hail (before I bought my car, thank god)

A seller just accepted our offer on a new home today. We're really, really excited. Someone else actually offered higher than we did, but they took ours because we appeared to be more financially stable so the transaction will go smoothly :)
